There have been numerous reports of transmission failures, such as inoperative synchromesh after installing Redline oil posted to this and other boards.

A couple of these posts have gone so far as to claim that their synchro rings were actually destroyed because of changing to Redline.

I personally have not used Redline, so I don't know if these claims are true or not. But with the potential for a harsh downside, I would ask what's the advantage of using Redline?

I would stick with the factory lube. It's factory-it works-and it's certainly safe.
