Yes, I have driven the car. Why would I buy a car without driving it? Yes, highest bidder wins on eBay, but I advertised the possibility of the car selling on eBay here on the boards to promote BMW enthusiasts who know the car to bid on it, if, in fact, they're are even interested. I'm not even sure if I am going to put it on eBay. I am getting so much shit for trying to sell a car. I have to say, I'm baffled. I'M JUST SELLING A CAR! I don't get what all the fuss is about. I have gone out of my way and spent well over $2,000 to ensure that this car is in the best possible selling condition. People that deal in shady transactions do not do this. And, AGAIN, I did not title the car because I am selling it. The car is smog legal outside of Cal, so what if someone from Arizona decides to buy it? See what I'm saying? I thought I was clear about this in my post. I co-own Road One Racing with Jordan D'Alessio. We have advertised our driving schools on this board, and we have a lot of BMW enthusiasts who attend our schools, therefore, I would NEVER falsely advertise something or make a shady deal with anyone on these messageboards. Better yet, I would never make a shady deal with anyone! I'm just trying to sell a car that I feel someone else will have more appreciation for. It's really no more complicated than that.Regards,
Jason.
Jason,
Relax. You have to admit it does seem odd that someone buys a car for a good bit of money and sells it before they even get it titled! At least it sounds strange to those of us with less financial means.
On the e34 board, you state that you intend to screen the buyer to make sure it's the "right" buyer, but on the e28 board, you tell us it's going on e-bay. As you know, high bidder buys it, period. No screening allowed.
Did you even get to drive the car? Without tags?
See why that seems strange?
I'm sure it's a great car. Maybe we're just a little envious.
Good luck with your sale.
Douglas
