What ever you do don't let it fly up unattended! My daughter did that and it sprung the lever mechanism. Boy was that a pain in the butt to fix. It's not exactly right now but I have it working well.Curt K.

Mine stays open but when I begin to close it it slams down like a guilatine. I'm sure it's the leaf spring or some magnetic field. When I get a chance I'll head over to pick-n-pull and retrieve a spring.
