Cross drilled rotors are a quick way to waste twice as much money as regular rotors. Drilled rotors crack, because holes create stress raisers. The increased stress around the holes, combined with the high torque and heat cycling are too much. The rotor cracks well before it's life is up.

Slotted rotors are also a gimmick, as new pads do not release gasses after they are broken in. They do a good job of wearing pads out more quickly, though.

Once you upgrade the rear brakes, you will notice your front brakes stay cooler and last longer. I have the parts to do the job, but I need to rebuild the suckers, first.
