This topic has been heavily discussed in the archives. I would recommend checking the archives because many of your questions will be answered there. If you would like I can provide you a thorough explanation of fitting those wheels to the e28 chassis via email. You will ultimately find that an 18 inch wheel is simply too much rubber for the e28 and will destroy the cars derivability.
