spring perches - SLS vs. non (archive)

The PO of my car removed the SLS, replaced w/ Hd's and Euro M5 springs (SLS was optional on Euro models). Don't know if he did the perches as well. My tire guy said one of the springs was partially off the perch - would this be a result of using SLS perches (bigger I guess?)?? Thanks!
