It's been a while but I replaced my own starter in my garage. It goes in from the top. Had to remove the intake plenum and some other items. Like I said, it's been a while, so I don't remember exactly what I removed. I guess you'll figure bit out as you go along. I did it in an afternoon. Wasn't too hard. If you have some mechanical know how, I'm sure you can do it yourself. It definitely will save you a few bucks.
