Hi All,
I need a new set of tires on for my stock M5 wheels as well and am curious as to the staggered tire sizes that folks have mentioned here on the board.

Also, is it true what I've hear about the standard operating procedure on e28s re: tire rotation is NOT to do it?

Finally, what is the NORMAL tire wear patter for 225/50/16s on an e28? My Dunlop SP8000 rears have worn out on the inside crowns (and to some degree the center) and the fronts are wearing on the outside crowns. The driver's side front tire (outside crown), in particular, has worn noticably more than the passenger side. Will a 4-wheel alignment fix this problem? I recently replaced the control arm bushings...

Finally, I'm considering going back with the Dunlops SP800s...but have considered the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s...any recommendations?

Thank you for your input. Please feel free to email me directly too.

Best regards,
Tim

What is the widest tire I can fit on stock 16 x 7.5 M5 wheels without rubbing? Or should I just stick with the 225?
