I've had an '88 535is for almost 9 years with 132,000 miles on it. It's been pretty reliable and fun to drive but I think I'm ready for a more updated model, perhaps a '95-'98 540. Do you still have the original TRX size wheel/tire combo on yours? I've been riding on 220/55x390 Avon's for a while but I've been having unusual tire wear problems and what feels like poor tracking and front wheel vibration. I recently replaced the worn upper control arms but the situation continues. The rears wore the centers completely out by 30K miles and the fronts completely wore out the inside treads by 12K miles. Alignment and balance did not seem to help. Pressures were kept in proper range. This is a "tiring" situation and reduces the BMW "feel" to that of any other lesser car. Any suggestions?
