If you are looking for a shop for a pre-purchase inspection I highly recommend Bavarian Professionals (see bavpros.com) Bavarian Professionals is perhaps the best BMW maintenance center in the Bay Area and perhaps the Nation, as they demand nothing less than the best. The skill level needed to work on the M5/6 is much higher than most shops are capable. Bavarian Professionals has a hand picked, knowledgeable, small staff of the highest order and it is without question that Bavarian Professionals is the only place that my M5 will ever be serviced.

I may be looking to have a pre-purchase inspection done of an M6 in the Belmont, Calif area. Can anybody suggest a good indepenedent mechanhic who would be thorough and knowledgeable about these cars?

Name of shop, specific mechanic, and phone number would be greatly appreciated.
