peter,
Excellent to find a fellow kiwi on this post, I've been looking to see if any other nzers use this system.

I'm currently looking at purchasing a '85 M535i here in AKL,

here are some stats, let me know what you think:

British racing green
5 spd dog-leg box
beige leather
200k KM
2 owners
new discs and pads (front, as they had warped)
TRX fact. wheels (may be a hastle, $$$ tyres, metric)
new bilsteins all around

Theres more been recently done to it. Rotors/distributor cap, drive chain, syn oil, head gasket, plugs etc.

the first owner brought it over from the UK in '86, so rust is centralised to one spot under the passenger door, due to blocked drain holes, other than that, the clear coat on the roof and parts of the bonnet/boot have baked off. Not really sure what the cost of re-spray would be, maybe you have some knowledge?

I've offered the guy $3300 NZD and its all go, just have to find a buyer for my car I have at the moment.

What do you think of this deal, is it worth it?

Must hook up at some stage, if all goes to plan

Cheers

Seb
