I have changed the rear brakes on my E28 M5 to the E32 740i calipers and rotor plus I went with the E32 front rotors and it feels GREAT! The best braking has had since I owned it, no front end dive, the car stops smoother and at least 25% quicker. I followed Rob Levinson's directions and they were flawless - great procedure and even better upgrade. I went with the Hawk HPS pads front and rear - quiet, no dust and sticky.

Thanks to all on this board for directing me and an extra thanks to Steve Haygood for sourcing the parts and Rob for the procedure.
