I concur w/most of what has been posted here on this EXCEPT w/how to turn over the engine. While I like the idea of using the RR wheel because of it's logic, I'm too lazy. I don't remove the plugs & I don't jack up the car. Using my VERY-slightly downhill driveway, I just put it into 3rd gear & rock it forward (or backward, as needed) to line up TDC for the first cylinder I find easiest to be get to in the firing order. I then rock it to the next one in order, etc. This has worked for me for over 30 years.
