Not quite the machine the M5 is, but it's the best I can do here in little old New Zealand
Many thanks
Having had an M5, a true flying machine. As it did fly, straight through a dozen small trees and a dry sandstone wall.....write off.
With the insurance money i bought an M535i, a little bit of a come down but what the heck.
The things to look for when obtaining an M535i
1. Check the obvious for stone chips, ie had a hammering.
2. Upon startup there quite possibly will be a small puff of blue oil smoke, this is not a problem with the M30 engine. However if this oil smoke is constant then it is possible that costly engine work is needed. This oilsmoke will also happen when you are driving hard, ease off on the power considerably, then hit the pedal again, once again this is not to worry about.
3. Check all 4 corners for ease of travel on the gas dampers.
4. When driving away there should be NO noise from the propshaft/guibo joint.
There are numerous points that i could go into, if you still wish to go ahead and buy then if you feel you need to ask questions then mail me
Rgds
