I have seen a few BMW engines with a coating that seems to yellow and peal with age. My engine is starting to do this and I don't really like it. Has anyone removed this coating entirely? Has anyone replaced it?


The stuff is called cosmoline and is used to protect the car during shipping. Check the link below for some suggestions on ways to remove it.
