Hello all

This is my first post on this board though I've been posting on the 02 board for what seems decades. Been new to the e28 M5 and not having a lot of experience with the car I wanted to get some advice from the more experience people on the board. I did search the archives but I am also interested in new info as the inquiry relates to tires.

I am about to purchase tires in the original size -225/50/16- when I do the math 245/45/16 are less than 1/4 inch away in height and around 1/2 inch wider.

Anyone running this setup? I'm looking for pro/con as far as performance and apearance. More concerned about performance issues like the tire being to wide for the rim etc...

Any sugestions or advice are welcome, as I have no pprior experience with this vehicle.

tnx in advance and tnx for the time
