My 88 M5 runs great but I have had no luck trying to sell it. Everything is original. Should I sell it for parts? I have seen where the engine might sell from 5 to $8k but after I sell the engine how would I sell the transmission? I hate to kill such a wonderfully driving car but I had it advertised on auto trader for two months. I got FIFTEEN! responses but nobody would come test drive the car! I was asking 13,200 for it but do not know what I could get for it if someone would see how great it drives. I have room to store the car while I part it out. I just do not want to sell the whole car for $10k when I could get more for the parts. The car has always lived in Alabama. It has never been raced or autocrossed.Put an ad in Roundel. I bet you sell it within a couple months. CCA members are one of the biggest E28 M5 consumer groups.
