FYI The CarFax shows a "exceeds mechanical limits title" issued in Texas at 104K miles. I asked the prior owner about this and he did not have an explanation. The odometer goes to 999,999 so the mechanical limits were certainly not exceeded.

When I purchased the car in 1999, I had an inspection performed and, based on the condition of the undercarriage etc, my mechanic indicated no reason to question the odometer reading. The car looks fantastic and runs perfectly, as it should after $11,000 in maintenance/upgrades over the past 15K miles.
