88 M5 vs. 95 M3 (archive)

Ok guys, I need some help here. It seems that my search for an M car has come to an end. I must decide between an 88 M5 or a 95 M3. I love the 88 M5 because of it's classic styling and enthusiate feel. The M3 feels more refined and balanced. Give me your opinions. I love to have one of each, but can't afford it.
