So Mike T says get the E36 M3 because of lap times. Everyone else likes the E28 for its style, sound, classic quailty, etc.

Mike should upgrade his thrust arm bushings and rear brakes to prevent warping the front rotors.

I like both. The E36 M3 is a track monster, and the M5 is an ass-hauling 4-door "Q-ship", as the Brits call it.

The E36 will depreciate more because of the sheer numbers--37k+ E36's vs just over 2k E28's.
