Car has 70k miles and has had a relatively easy life (no track, no winters, etc) Seems a bit early for t/c to need replacement? I thought the magic # was 100k?

BMW now say max. 4 year's or 40.000 kilometers,
My M5 only did 59.000 km. before the chain give up.
If there is any noise from the chain: STOP the engine and change the lower small gear wheel, hydraulic chain extensioner and the chain.
