From how you describe it, I don't think its the rotors. At 60,000 miles and 13 years, I'd say its you thrust arm bushings.
Being that you have an M5 and not a regular 5, I'd go with Bavarian AutoSports heavy duty or similar bushings. Don't go with OEM or shaved down 750il bushings. You also want to be prepaired to replace ball joints. They might look fine, but when you take it all apart, look out.

I have 60,000 miles on '88M5. Have front end shimmy at about 60-65mph with definite pulsating when braking at higher speeds. My shop says front end is fine but rotors are warped. I drive car about 3M per year. Do I really need 7 series rotors or will stock set do ok? If 7 series rotors are used which brake pads do I use? Thanks for any help for this tech challenged owner!
