hey guys,

see if you guys can help me with this one. my m5 is running a little hot(gauge moves from 1/4 to 3/4 in about 10 minutes while in traffic, other wise always cold(1/4 of gauge)). i have replaced the thermostat(was broken in 2 pieces) and have done a cooland flush. no dripping from water pump. after doing the flush(last sat) i get some screeching noise that sounds like it is coming from the engine when the car is around 2000-2500 rpm. the noise comes not matter the temp. i have not looked at the aux fan switch, because i dont know how to test them, and when the gauge is at 3/4, i have never gotten out of the car to look at the fan.

any help will be appreciated.
