When I was 17(in '86) I experienced my first BMW.
I worked my ass off and bought a '79 320i. That car took me through college and in '92 (after about 150,000 miles) I was able to afford an '87 535is. I had fallen in love with that 5 series when I bought the 320i but could never afford it.
Today, as a 32 year old, I still have that '87 535is...covered and all. My wife drives a 3 and I drive a 540. My young friend...I REALLY APPRECIATE your passion for these cars and I can't tell you how nice it is to know that young people coming of age appreciate the "feeling" that these cars bring to their owners.
Oh..by the way...your car looks beautiful!
