$6000 is a fair price if the car is in decent shape. Look for oil leaks. Is the trans smoothe? Are the valves loud?? How is the front end? Tight? If you replace the rear self levelling, you might want to do the front suspension as well. Figure $1000 just for that. Overall, sounds fair.
