e34 540 brakes (archive)

Since the e30 M3 used brakes/hubs from the e28 5 series and there is a kit available that puts e34 540i brakes on an e28 (bigger calipers, bigger rotors).

Will this step-up work on our cars? The kit includes new rotors, calipers, SS lines and pads all for around $1K. This is for all four wheels.

Anybody look into this?
