that car looks exactly like mine! even the missing corner on the bumper trim! except mine has fog lights and no rust. i wouldn't spend any more than $2,000 on that car. i didn't realize it, but i guess i'm just lucky about my transmision.
i don't know anything about the 300td. that's a MB right? i got this car from my dad, and he got it used in '88, so i didn't do any comaprison shopping in '86. but he loves telling me that it was the fastest diesel car at the time. hope this helps.

Thanks much to all for the info. The ebay item is the one I'm considering, although I agree 4500 is far too much. Hwo might this car compare to a similar year 300TD?
