Need info on E34 M5 engine swap!!! (archive)

I am contemplating an engine swap for my e28 M5 in the next year or so. I know there were at least two M5 owners on this board a few years ago who had done so (one was purchased already done and the other member did the work himself).

Do any of our board members have such a car and did you do the work yourself? What was invloved in the way of modifications? How does the car handle with the E34 M5 engine?

I am concerned about adding a heavy engine into a car that is already significantly front heavy. My M5 is only used for the track so I am contemplating the E34 M5 engine vs a stroker kit from Korman or some other reputable firm.

Thanks for any help some of you may have on this subject.
