finding used parts in Germany (archive)

Hi All,

I was wondering if any of you have any experience with trying to find used parts in Germany, specifically, in Frankfurt and Munich? I will be on vacation in these areas for a few days in mid September and hope to pick up some euro parts for my E28 M5, such as: headers, sideskirts, rear sunshade, 7" headlights with washers, and E34 front & rear brakes (Nurburgring package would be great!). I'm looking for names of recycling centers (is that what they call salvage yards?), details on shipping parts back to the USA and import taxes and any good or bad experiences.
