If you have $$, go for the BMW M-Technic Bilstein and spring package. These are all BMW parts. Call Maximillian Imports. They are the experts on this setup.

For H&R/Bilstein/Koni, call Turner Motorsport.

You cannot convert the AFM to an HFM without changing the computer or developing a signal conditioner to massage the signal from the HFM to resemble the signal from the AFM. Or you could sell your E28 M5 engine and all accessories, wiring, brain, etc and buy the engine and all the parts from an E34 M5. It has more aggressive compression and cams, a 4" HFM, 3.6L, and 315HP. Adding a Jim C chip brings it up to a claimed 340HP. Getting 340HP from the E28 M5 ngine requires about $8k of work on top of your existing engine.

Or call Modern Performance (www.modernperformanceinc.com) and send your car to them for tuning. They use a Ford HFM and a custom signal converter. It requires some work. It's been done on the E30 M3 and E28 535i so far. Cost is about $700.

Or try a Split Second HFM conversion. Requires tuning and careful management of the A/F ratio to prevent running too rich or too lean. Cost starts at $1000. www.splitsec.com
