We wanted a minivan when the first child arrived but we hemmed and hawed until it seemed like we were getting along with a four door and a 3 door hatchback.

When the second child arrived we took the plunge, got the Honda and we love it.

The M5 is more for fun than anything else. It will go into the rotation as a daily driver but will probably receive some extra pampering.

Bottom line: The right minivan is not a bad addition to a household.

Hi Eric,

We drove the Passat wagon, the 5 series BMW (which was ridiculously expensive, IMHO) The Volvo wagons (all of them), the Audi A6 wagon, and finally the Honda Odyssey. The Honda wins, hands down. If we were only going to have one child we would have purchased the Volvo V70 but we're planning on more.
