this car has been owned by my brother since new and i have owned it for about 7 years now so i am always looking to do something new to give me that new look.i never really liked the way the e28 didn't have park lamps up top so this is something i always wanted to do but didn't think it would work until i rolled my e34 ///M5 at a track event which now gave me access to all neccesary parts without taking a chance of wasting money.i took the entire core support off of the e34 to where i could bolt all lights and grilles to it on the floor then i started trimming away on the car itself until it would all sit in place and then welded everything together.once everything was in place i cut about 4inches back from the e34 fenders and trimmed to fit and then welded those in place to surround the park lamps.i ended up using the wide grille b/c thats what i had on the e34 but it may look better with the early e34 grille,i just like the wide grille much better.i kept the original euro e28 ///M5 bumper cover but blacked out the original lenses.i also smoothed out the hood where it was normally cut out for the kidneys.now that i look back it was pretty easy but it sure was scary at first not knowing how it would work out.if you have any body shop skills you could do this in about 5hrs.thats if you have all the parts.e34 core support, grilles, headlight buckets and lights, both fenders and either euro e28 bumper or e34 bumper(i dont think it would look good with those long bumpers),i am still deciding whether to do the bumper also.the front of the car was not painted yet in the pics but should be soon.i also just put 18"m parallels on it so i will havt to post more pics when done.thanks for everyones positive feedback.
