1. The blue smoke under acceleration could be worn valve guides. Typical for this age, I think. Mine were worn at 70k miles (not badly, but out of spec) so I'm having them replaced.
2. It is hard to tune these cars if you mess with the throttle bodies. You need a manometer, etc., to do it right. This will affect idle.
3. The cat will smell like rotten eggs (H2S) when it goes bad.

I noticed today that under hard acceleration smoke pours out my exhaust (I think blue). I just had a tune up and everything looked perfect, but my mechanic did say it is hard to tune these cars perfectly. I noticed the idle is up a little even when the car is warm and the cat has been smelling bad. Do you think the car is just running rich or is there something elce I should worry about. Thanks in advance.
