I know what you mean re herky jerky throttle response, when you back off or increase on throttle, car seems to jerk a bit (maybe normal?) - what did you do to the tps? BTW I have posted our problem to the UUC digest as well, see if anyone there has a clue. How many miles on your car? mine has 82k. FYI, it has new or almost new plugs, cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pressure reg., DEC cat, OEM exhaust.

Haven't checked the temp sensor readings yet. I adjusted the throttle position sensor yesterday to get rid of the herky jerky throttle response and this morning it seemed better, but I'll need to drive it a couple days to make a judgement.

Sheldon - guess the ICV access looks tougher than it is. Check out my thread on the E28 board - a guy there responded thoughtfully, he suspects the ICV or the DME, or possibly the connections between the temp sensor and the DME - have you checked your coolant temp sensor readings at the DME plug in the glove box?
