The velocity stack intake is used many used in higher reving racing applications. BMW used these for just that reason, a 4v/cyl head reving @ 6600 rpms for extended periods of time. The velocity stack intake on a 2v/cyl head with have little effect UNLESS your going to spin the engine at 6600 rpms for extended periods of time. In fact it will decrease low end torque as your removing tuned intake runners(the stock manifold) that maximize low end torque. A 2v/cyl head just won't flow alot at high 6k rpms. Your making a good step to improve the system you have with head work and more radicle CAM w/exhaust. The system will breath better at higher rpms, but still nothing like a 4v/cyl head.

The S38 computer is a waste of time if your using it in stock form. The fuel maps are all wrong for your application. Again, the breathing characteristics of the different heads are night and day difference, and your car will run very badly. If your going to custom tune it, that may be a different issue. I would just use the stock unit for the car and have that customed tuned.

As you can tell, I don't think this is good idea unless your tracking the car and need that 10 extra hp @ 6500 rpms for .5 to 1 hour long races like in the CCA club racing.

The intake system is from a Euro 1985 S38 with 150,000 Km on it. I know I need an adapter plate. I may get my hands on the Euro engine computer. It would go on a Euro 10:1 M30 with HARTGE head, ported with larger intake and exhaust valves, 282 cam. Euro exhaust. My Euro computer is all ready chipped, not sure if the S38 euro computer will work with my system.
