I would think it would be much easier - you should be able to get a tool on the bomb directly with no problem (short method). Has it ever been replaced? At that mileage, surprised it hasn't died at least once.
Todd is this job easier with the engine out of the car ?:) Would you recommend it be changed even if it doesn't need it yet while the engine is out? (165k miles)
