If it started suddenly it is probably the guibo, it has developed a crack or lost a chunk at one of the bolt holes and is about to completely disintegrate. The vibration might be different with power on vs. coasting (in this case look for hairline cracks). Go easy on the gas pedal if you must drive, torque will finish the thing off. Easy fix, cheap part. Haven't done one on the M5 but you may be able to remove the exhaust hangers (tie it off) and pull the pipe to one side for clearance without unbolting the exhaust. You need to have at least one rear wheel free to spin the shaft to get all the bolts out. Go ahead and order the guibo because you will want it renewed even if the problem is the driveshaft or diff mount (unlikely). Good luck.
