Compression for the M5 will be higher than the 535i on account of the higher compression ratio. In addition uniformity is important within 10%. Engine should be warm (not hot/cold) and the same number of cranks for each cylinder tested. A good rule of thumb would be 14.7xC.R. psi I think. Wet compression should be the same or just a bit higher if the dry is consistent, but I have never done one of those.

What should I expect from a dry and wet compression test on an M635. Car has 154k miles on it?

Bentley states 160 psi for the 12 valve 3.5l motor. Is the M engine different to this.?
