You said you replaced the trunk gasket but you need to be sure it was absolutely watertight. The trunk deck is almost flat when parked on a flat surface and the entire drain channel will fill with standing water. A pinhole will eventually let all that water in. The problem is much worse when parked nose down a couple degrees. The rear spoiler if you have one also deflects a lot more water into the channel. The adhesive for the trunk seal needs to be perfect and continuous. Or try parking nose-up whenever it's raining or when washing the car.

1. I am requesting help for solving a wet trunk problem. I have replaced the trunk lid gasket, inspected the tail light gaskets and inspected all of the interior trunk caulking beads seem to be intact. My car is garaged and over the summer I let it air out until dry. But the problem has returned.
2. When ever the A/C is turned on, I can detect a mold odor from the vents. However, I don't smell it when the normal fresh air or heat is on.

These problems have been very frustrating to the point of wanting to sell my car. But I would really prefer to fix the problems correctly.

I have owned it since '97 when I bought it with 62,000 miles for $8K.

Thanks in advance for any help.
