The SLS will probably go bad sooner or later anyway. I have Bilstein HD all 4 corners, Euro M5 rear springs (SLS was option on Euro model) and M-teknik sport springs front, which are a little lower and stiffer than stock. Quite happy with it. All can purchased from Maximillian.

I'm looking for suggestions on what I should do with my e28 M5 suspension. I'm new to the M5, but I've driven a well set up 528e for 200,000 miles, in several different suspension iterations.

The options I'm considering are:

Stock SLS rear suspension/stock front
Stock SLS rear suspension/Bilstein HD or Boge front
Delete the SLS rear, and go with Bilstein HD all around

My 528e is on Bavarian Autosport springs, Bilstein Sports, Suspension Tech Sway Bars, and 15" rims. Even with blown suspension, the M5 turns in better and seems to corner almost as flat, but it is much softer. I'm thinking that I don't want to lower the M5, because frankly the setup I've got on my other car is just a little too stiff.

I would be interested in folks suggestions.

Thanks in advance
