Help a humble 88 6-series owner? (archive)

Greetings:

I was emailed a link to some interior re-finish shots of an early M-5. I think that the owner used Leatherique.

Anyhow, the job looked fantastic and am ready to tackle it on my 88 Lotus White Interior.

One thing I noticed and don't know if it's stock or aftermarket (either way I'd love information) is the fact that his handbrake surround was leather rather than that hair-effect that I can't stand.

I want a leather handbrake surround for my 6 but can't find any information. If this is a retrofit, tell me where - if this is factory - let me know and I will try to find a part number and re-dye.
