Im going to recess the firewall back about 12 inches or more. To put the enging back as far as I can. I will not be running A/C or P/S so some weight will be lost not alot but some. Then again I have thought about sticking a V12 out of a 7 in it and 7s are a dime a dozen and will not be missed if I throw the car away after removing the drivetrain.
