I'm told the 6-sp graft, even if it is possible, comes to about $5k in parts. Tranny, different DS and diff. I'd just get a used 5-sp for that car and go with that.

My e28 535i with Metric Mechanic Ultimate Transmission seems to have synchronizer problems. I'm looking for options other than just to rebuild what I've got. Anyone have any experience or knowledge about grafting a 6-speed to an e-28. I'd be grateful for any ideas or suggestions.
