In Reply to: Surprising Problem with Spark Plugs... posted by Art on November 04, 2001 at 11:56:31:

I was attempting to do a compression check on the engine yesterday of my M5 and when I attempted to take out the spark plugs I was unable to do so. I could not figure out what size the plugs were. They don't appear to be 13/16, nor are they 5/8. Are they a metric size by any chance? Possibly 16mm? I understand the Bosch replacement plug is an X5DC, can someone advise the proper gap? I have not obtained any tech manuals yet, so I have no reference to check. Thanks in advance.
