Well, I can say mine (81k miles) were 170 after 5 cranks, and about 190 after 7 cranks which was maximum comression. But this is with throttle held full open, and boot between plenum and AFM removed. I think Neil is right, you can't get a true reading unless throttles held open. Try doing a leakage test - that will tell the real story

145 145 150 150 145 145

or somethign like that. They were all 145 or 150.

Motor has 106k miles.

AFAIK, this sucks :)

Neil seemed to say something to the effect of CR should be about 14.7*CR - on my car that'd be 14.7*9.8 (the US S38B35 was 9.8:1 stock, right ?)

which gives 144 psi

Which means my motor is doing fine. HOwever, everyone expected it to be around 160-170psi.

Given that the motor isn't making as much power as it should be.. im inclined to belevie my compression is low across the board, and hte motor is just tired :(
