You know Bailey, that thought has definitely been creeping into my mind more and more. I MAY be able to swap out the other guy's ECU, which would answer that question pretty quickly. How did he finally decide it was the ECU - did he swap??

My cousin, in a euro 323i had similar problems. Turned out he had to replace ECU and the problem was solved. Hope you find it's something else.
