Todd - I think it was a last ditch effort after trying many other things like you. I don't know whether he had the chance to swap in someone else's before buying his own (if you have one to try before buying, definately do it - I have no idea what is involved in the swap though). I think he actually just broke down, bought a new ECU, and solved the problem. Bailey
