remove all spark plugs
remove coil wire from distributor cap and ground or remove power to coil
crank for 5 firing cycles (or until the guage does not go up any more.)

These readings should be withing 15% of each other. If not, you must try to find why. Post or email your readings INCLUDING cylinder number and we will try to help you with further testing
