Cool, my date code is 3/87 and my vin is 2791241. So, I'm # 241. Neat, I feel special.

My E28 M5 had a date code of 10/1987 and the last 3 digits are (LSB's) are WBS...XXXX001. I'm not sure how BMW serialize these cars. What digits in the VIN # indicate the serial number of the car? I'm just currious whether I have the very first E28 M5 imported in the US.
