Low beam out warning (archive)

Just bought a pristine 88 325ic to drive when the M5 needs a break. Or breaks! LOL The car is flawless mechanically and was definitley pampared by the previous owner. The only problem is the low beam out warning light keeps coming on everytime I turn the lights on! And ofcourse the low beam bulb is ok. The car was fitted with '90 ellipsoid headlight system. I'm assuming this could be the cause of the electrical glitch. Any suggetions where to start looking?
